Ratna hand picks all fabrics for her garments, with , an eye for colour combinations, a focus on quality, and a passion for texture.
The R U Precious Studio boutique in central Auckland is her base for production, with all pieces being designed and prepared on site, to a stage where they are passed on for sewing.
One off appliqué pieces are each individually embellished with an appliquéd fabric painting, done by Ratna. Each fabric painting is designed in a raw free form fashion and then pinned on.
Other one off pieces consist of patching, special fabric combinations, and draping.
